This year, Argentina will rise first corn crop by 26% compared to the last 5-year average. By mid-November, farmers planted 15% more corn than the last five years. Good yield prospects, especially in the country's core productive region, boost the forecast for corn arrivals at Rosario Hub's ports between the end of February and the first half of April.
Wheat prices fell during the week in Rosario spot market due to exporters' weak demand. The export sector purchases leave only 7 million tons of wheat available in the local market. Moreover, wheat arrivals at Rosario Hub's terminals in the first two weeks of February reached the second largest record in 7 years. From November to date, 5.5 Mt of wheat have been unloaded in the ports.
